What are IP67 and IP68 Waterproof Connectors?

IP Ratings: (Ingress Protection or International Protection) - The Ingress Protection rating system is a classification system showing the degrees of protection from solid objects and liquids. Waterproof connectors can be classified into different kinds of grades. The two principal grade classifications for waterproof connectors are IP67 and IP68.

IP67 connectors are very popular and this is the main type of waterproof connector in the industry. IP67 series of connectors are of high quality and the high waterproof grade and it provide long-term durability under difficult climatic conditions. The IP67 rating means the connectors are protected from dust and capable of withstanding water immersion between 15 cm and 1 meter for 30 minutes.

IP68 connector can be regard as highest waterproof connector. According to the waterproof connector sealing performance criteria, IP68 connector means it can completely prevent dust entering and can continuously under pressure immersed in. IP68 waterproof connectors are designed for demanding environment dust tight and continuous immersion.
